Hello & Welcome

My name is Lois Lim and I am honored you are here.  I specialize in helping clients manage their anxieties and stresses so they can make space for the things that bring their life meaning, joy and purpose. Most of my clients have come to me to reduce anxiety and stress in the following areas:

It’s no doubt painful to live life with anxiety. It can be debilitating and rob you of your motivation, purpose, joy, connection with others and most importantly, your relationship with yourself. It can be overwhelming to feel trapped in your thoughts and feelings and you may wonder, “Is change even possible?” 

I am here to tell you, YES, change is absolutely possible. I have had the privilege to witness clients stepping out from their debilitating pasts and into their life with more confidence and peace.  What is the secret to this change?  It really comes down to your relationship with YOU. When you start changing your relationship with yourself, you begin to say yes to the things that support You and no to the things that do not. This change does not happen overnight. It takes commitment to do the hard work (on more days than not), it requires showing up for yourself in our sessions, it requires having hard conversations with those around you, it requires a willingness to sit in uncomfortable feelings and an openness to try something new. 

I am here as your support, your cheerleader and your advocate. I believe in the human ability to accomplish far beyond what the limiting mind restricts us to believe. Fees

CONSULTATION: I offer a complimentary 15-20 minute initial phone consultation. 

INDIVIDUAL SESSIONS: $190/50-60 min session

COUPLES & FAMILY SESSIONS: $250/50-60 min session

INSURANCE: I do not accept insurance. However, if you would like to submit for reimbursement with your insurance company, I can provide you with a receipt of services aka “Superbill.” You will be responsible for submitting the superbill to your insurance. Reimbursement rates vary based on your insurance plan.

What Can I Expect?

Our work together begins with a thorough intake assessment to take into account your personal, social, emotional and physical history. From there we identify your therapy goals and work together to get you closer to living a life in line with your values. Our sessions will focus on  processing recurring emotions, thoughts and behaviors and equipping you with practical skills to decrease anxiety symptoms, change negative thought patterns and work towards minimizing the power of fear in your life. 

What Is Your Background?

I have been in the Mental Health field since 2013. I received my B.A. in Psychology at the University of California, San Diego and my M.A. in Clinical Psychology at Pepperdine University. I have worked in a variety of clinical settings including Residential Homes, Community Mental Health Clinics, Outpatient Facilities and College Counseling Centers. 

What Is Required Of Me?

To get closer to your therapy goal, it requires you to practice the skills discussed in session. It requires patience to understand new habits take time to form and a commitment to prioritize your mental health. 

What If We Are Not A Good Fit?

Therapy is only as successful as the therapist-client relationship. If either you or I find it would be more beneficial for you to see another therapist, we will discuss it and come up with a plan. Feel free to ask me for referrals and I’ll do my best to get you connected with qualified clinicians in your area.
